Dr. Bass is a nationally recognized innovator and authority on advanced technologies in aesthetic plastic surgery. He has written and lectured extensively over the past 18 years on his research in advanced surgical techniques including endoscopic and laser procedures. He has over 90 scientific publications in journals such as Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Annals of Plastic Surgery and Lasers in Surgery and Medicine. He has presented his research results and aesthetic surgery techniques at over 200 scientific lectures at meetings before the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Giants in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Symposium sponsored by Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, among others. He has served on the Device and Technique Assessment Committee of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation and on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. He currently sits on the Nonsurgical Techniques Committee of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. For the past 10 years, he has directed a course "Emerging Technologies and Techniques in Plastic Surgery" at NYU to train surgeons in the latest advances. Dr. Bass is Director of the Minimally Invasive Plastic Surgery Program at NYU Medical Center where he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
